I may be dropping a few hints around the house too!

Re: Frozen Planet

Fantastic programme. I loved the penguin who stole the stones too. I loved the way he ran over really quickly then turned his back to pretend he hadnt done it, fantastic. I thought it was sad when the baby polar bear didnt survive and the crew cant help with things like that but as has been said before that is nature and its cruel sometimes.

Re: Frozen Planet

Watched this for the first time tonight, after reading this thread. What a fantastic programme! Love watching the animals in the wild and they sometimes make you laugh and sometimes make you cry, but that is nature.

Re: Frozen Planet

I enjoyed tonights episode, I have yet to see the previous ones. I especially liked the part with the owls, the parent owls had to find 1000 Lemmings to feed the young before winter set in, one fat chick guzzles down a whole Lemming in one swallow, and David Attenborough remarks, "A Lemming doesn't last long these days". I can imagine Ollie the owl going to his boss looking for a raise. "Why do you think you deserve a raise Ollie?", "Because a Lemming doesn't last long these days Sir". But I suppose the most stressful job in the World would be someone on suicide watch in a Lemming colony.

Re: Frozen Planet

It was amazing wasn't it? I am an old softy and am worried about those starving fox cubs now. My heart was in my mouth when the killer whales teamed up to flip their tails to make waves next to the dinghy, thinking about that seal last week.

Re: Frozen Planet

We will not miss an episode of this superb series, even if it means having to make use of catch up tv, fantastic photography and as always the highest standard of narration, apparently it is now pulling in 7 Million viewers an episode, that says it all doesn't it?
