Re: Frozen Planet

Won't be missing any of this.
David Attenborough in another quality series.
Stunning work by the film crew.
Fascinating insight into the beauty and the beast on survival in the frozen wild.

Re: Frozen Planet

The filming is incredible and the risks the camera men must take when getting in closer to the action.
Watching the fight to survive or become the next meal is fascinating and horrifying at the same time.
Each program shows nature at work demonstrating the reality of survival or death.
It seems to be one long struggle with the drama of life or the trauma of death for animals in the wild.
The workings of nature are a miracle but how cruel it can be.

Re: Frozen Planet

The tenacity of that she wolf on this week's Frozen Planet was amazing. Every time she was tossed and cried out I thought she would have to give up, but she didn't. At the end when they were both down and she was curled up I did wonder if she had survived the battle without serious damage. An unforgiving land to be able to survive in. Wonderful photography !!!!!

Re: Frozen Planet

I too wondered whether she was just resting through sheer exhaustion and injuries or whether she curled up to die. She was tossed and trampled on and her injuries must have been horrific. They did say that the male wolf gave up, possibly through fear of injury which in that climate could be fatal. Oh dear ............ I wonder if we'll every find out?
