Forgotten Voices

I have just started reading one of the Forgotten Voices series.This one is: Forgotten Voices of the Victoria Cross by Roderick Bailey.

It is about Victoria Cross recipients and based on interviews done at the Imperial War Museum.
It deals with sixty odd recipients of the award and either uses eye witness accounts of the action that led to the medal being awarded or the recipients version themselves.

It covers events from the First World War up to the Korean War. From what I have read so far this book is different from the usual in that it deals with all ranks of the people who actually carried out the deeds.

A very interesting read up to press.
