Re: Favourite Pastimes?

Surfing the net. After many abdominal surgeries, recent being last January, im limited to what i can do now around the house. , i can manage the odd short walk, but that's all. Even grocery stores , if big, are still a challenge. I enjoy the many things offered up on the computer these days.....

Re: Favourite Pastimes?

I used to be a fanatical swimmer and walker until I damaged my thigh and now, even walking becomes painful after a while and it sadly ruled out any more swimming. I still can't think of anything constructive to do that doesn't involve movement so now I take the dogs for a hobble somewhere, natter on here, might do a bit of housework/gardening, natter on here again maybe, play my beloved computer game and then shopping. Maybe watching films would count as a pasttime (gawd, that sounds so boring!)

Horse racing, drinking fine Port with a long cigar in the evening, and usually messing around in the shed in the daytime.

but men can stay in those sheds for hours and hours - what do they find to do in there! My Dad was the same (that or the greenhouses) - he'd be called in for meals, he'd eat them and then back he'd go!

They can if we lock 'em in.

They become inspired, I'm still waiting for that great eureka moment when I make my big discovery, gettin a bit fed up waiting though.
Some great discoveries were made in a mans shed, Shaw used to write his books in his shed with nobody to bother him, It's a home not far away from home, it's hard to explain to shed atheist.
