Has anyone got a funny phobia, something they really just can't abide or that makes your blood run cold?

Ooh, yes Graham, think I'd have to go to hospital and be knocked out, they'd never be quick enough to catch me otherwise. I'd never be able to just sit there and let them do it if I was awake.

I do... but it's crazy... I'm not sure I should share.

Actually I have two.

1. Riding in a car up a steep hill.

2.. Fear of the floor collapsing under the weight of people or heavy furniture..

I can't think of a funny one but I don't like frogs when they hop. OK in the pond but not out of it.

And freeze on the spot if I see a worm.

Never met one but wouldn't like to meet a snake.

I generally love all kinds of nature, but we seem to have had an influx of slugs. I went to pick some tomatoes a few days ago (without my specs - big mistake!) and found myself touching one of those big, yellow and orange jobbies - yuk!

Secondly, the dentist. It's been far too long since I darkened the door of one, but I'm absolutely terrified. I've had a few bad experiences, which, I suppose have coloured my judgement. Now, if they'd put me out, then do what's necessary, I wouldn't mind so much !

Alice! Read my thread Teeth on the Health Section. My stars! I was terrified, but I did have brilliant support from here, and they got me though one of the most horrible things I had to go through, but they got me there.

I hope my experiences will help you overcome your fear because believe me, I was terrified as well but, if you read that thread, it may help you. I hope it does.
