What did you have for breakfast?

I enjoyed the Thread asking what people are having for lunch/dinner. So I wondered about breakfast.
Nowadays there is so much choice.
I like dried figs, medjool dates, apple and natural yogurt.
What about you?

I very rarely eat much at breakfast but my favourite has to be a full English breakfast with a hint of Scottish....a haggis.

Unfortunately time dictates a bowl of serial, usually cornflakes with coffee.

Boring.

I'm the same as Jazzi, today was Porridge.
Tomorrow will be Toast and Butter.
Then back to Porridge. Only made with water and no sugar, add 4 Prunes.

Re: What did you have for breakfast?

When I was very young my grandma made a big pot of oatmeal porridge every day, she soaked the oats overnight in water, added a pinch of salt. It bubbled away for about an hour, then was ladled into a bowl, adding a rim of milk.
It was so warm and comforting.
An aunt used to make pancakes fried in butter so the outside was toasted, eaten with a blob of ketchup.
Hope the prunes do their work Cranberry.

I was buying into the whole scene......remembering my Gran's wonderful porridge.

The pancakes just added another delicious taster but then my image was shattered

Why the hell did you have to mention Prunes and doing their job?

Always the same organic jumbo porridge oats, no sugar just a little milk on top and a cup of tea my only one of the day. A couple of dried apricots and some almonds.
