Keeping them amused...

Don't you just feel for parents who are stuck indoors with youngsters 24/7?
Even more so when your child is special needs & doesn't understand the change in their routine.

I have so much admiration for my daughter in law Paula who is always coming up with ideas to keep Josh occupied. Not always easy as Josh is autistic.

They've had pebble painting. Water play. Finger painting & goodness knows what else. He certainly loved making cakes.

Are your families with little ones coping ok or is it driving them round the bend?

I think I would be the latter - mind you I did have four!!

Hi

My pretendie, Jakob is Autistic.

He is 11 and stuck inside with Mum and little sister who is very Bossy.

He is on the phone all the time, rescue me Grandad.

They are stupid.

I dropped him off a box of his favourite things yesterday.

Diet Coke, bacon crisps and broken bits of electronics he can play with.

He is so much happier now.

Blimey Swim, apart from the diet coke (prefer the proper stuff) them broken bits of electronics would keep me amused for hours....And don't forget the crisps...

I was an only child Summer, perhaps that explains my passion for long distance running. As a child, most of the time I had to make do with my own company, now I look forward to it....
Stay safe Summer...

Re: Keeping them amused...

Each day daughter and girls aged 9 and 14 go for hour long walks . Then there is school work. Luckily they have a garden to play in . Yesterday they sent a pic of themselves having a picnic in their campervan ......in their driveway . They seem to be doing ok . I also get drop in calls via Alexa and facetime calls which is lovely .
