That have already won this battle, sadly.

No deal on Banking Services, they are already £11 to £12 Billion ahead.

They are now after our Insurance Services , which is another few £Billion.

November is the cut off point for this.

The EU are absolutely ruthless.

They have backed down on the remaining obstacles to the EU Trade Deal with Japan.

No need now for any Japanese Company to invest further in the UK, as they face Tariffs.

A simple calculation by the EU, they have more to gain than they lose.

I find this all so sad.

It could have been so good for the UK.
It still can be in the long term if we stick to our guns.

And when we are finally free again, we will hopefully never again let ourselves be taken advantage of. 1974 was when the first mistakes were made - all our own fault, of course - but then the 1970s were a low point for our country in many respects.

Hi

In the long term yes.

However I do not want us to suffer in the short term.

The short term being 5 to 10 years.

Both you and I have enough money to cope, many haven't and I worry about them.

I can take a 20% reduction in Income and still have a good life.

That would be a complete disaster for many, I cannot be a part of that.

There are many here in the Village who have worked all their life and are now dependant on the State Pension.

I do not want to see them suffer.

Those at bottom of heap have had many reductions in what they earn and benefit, odd so many happily stood by and accepted that. Comes a point they can't be hurt any more time others took the strain.

The situation will be that unless the government manage this properly we will all be far poorer and the very poor will have nothing from the state. But i have every confidence that the government will not allow that to happen.

It is true that many get nothing. Yet at the same time it seems that many get far more than they deserve.

We've all see news reports of immigrants who have contributed nothing - and continue to contribute nothing - being handed free housing and other handouts.

What happened to 'charity begins at home'?

They would be asylum cases, immigrants don't get housing you have to be an asylum seeker to get anything.

I'd say they've done it here too many of us were going to retire at 65 but that's no longer happening.
