Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is being praised on the Telly this morning, have you ever been there and should visiting be on your Bucket List? Sad to think, the only thing that puts Milton Keynes in my mind is Kevin.

Re: Milton Keynes

I went to the shopping centre many years ago and always wanted to go again, but am put off by the sheer size of the place! Think I went by coach, or train. Can't remember now, but certainly wouldn't drive it.

They made it look nice on the telly.

Re: Milton Keynes

I've only been once one of my aunts lived there for a time and we visited her, it was ok better than some towns but rather modern for us we prefer a bit of history. She loved living there, and was quite upset when she had to move on so it must be fairly good as she was hard to please lady.

Re: Milton Keynes

I have nightmares when I think of Milton Keynes, driving around endless roundabouts and getting lost and lunch in a horrible hotel where we had arranged to meet a niece who works there.

I can't think why I went there now maybe it was when I was viewing prospective Universities with my son .

Re: Milton Keynes

I grew up not so very far away from the villages swallowed up by Milton Keynes-roundabouts and those `cows`

When I think of Milton Keynes, I instantly think of endless roundabouts too.

Re: Milton Keynes

One thing I will concede though they are fairly well thought out roundabouts unlike where they try more locally to put them in where there really isn't space to do so.

They charge like wounded rhinos for parking so I rarely go there, visit Bletchley a couple of times a year.
