Here is my 2nd attempt at making Tricias gift. I'm so glad our Tabby told me of my error, I would have felt a right numpty giving her the first one.
I actually like this one better.
Tabby, please don't worry, you didn't offend me, you were being a friend by pointing it out, I know you would have wanted me to if it were the other way around.
Tricia has been through a very bad time with the death of her husband and much ill health and needs cheering up so I can't wait to give her my Christmas gift. I'm also going to make up a 'Box of Sunshine' for her filled with bright little gifts to cheer her up. I call her 'My Little Miss Sunshine' as she always tries to stay cheerful no matter what.
The poem on this gift goes as follows just in case you can't see it on the picture.
When the burdens of life are getting too tough
Or you're feeling that you've just had enough
Go look in the mirror, there's a woman who's strong
Have faith in that woman when things go wrong
The woman you're seeing can cope come what may
She'll make sunshine rise on the darkest day
My dearest friend you must never forget
You're the strongest woman I have ever met
Much Love Always
Your Golden Sister Bev
(she's my soul sister)
That is really lovely, LQ. The verse is brilliant - Tricia will love such a personal gift. I like the idea of 'sunshine boxes' as well. Your are very talented.
