Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

She wasn't Jac, but who would initially. I think the superior medical team at Basingstoke Hospital have a lot to do with it. They do seem to be leaders in this field. They are only the second hospital in the country to start treating Prostate Cancer with Infrared, so that surgery isn't necessary, causisng less damage to tissue.

They sound a great team looking after your daughter Celyn. Have been thinking about her and hope it all goes OK from now on. For what it's worth, I think she's right about Chemo.

Went shopping this morning and had lunch in Morrisons, Leominster. They'll be getting to remember me there. Yet again I sent two lunches back and asked for fresh. I know a fiver isn't much for lasagne & chips, but when the lasagne is so overcooked as to be impossible to remove from the dish..........

Good for you Sue , we should complain no matter what the cost of the meal is .I had Scampi recently and they were like bullets ,really overcooked and I sent them back.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Thanks Nimby. Since seeing the oncologist on Tuesday daughter is much happier, or as happy as she can be. Her daughter, granddaughter, started A levels yesterday. Everything happening at once.

Beautiful day. Sitting at hospital waiting for a nursing home to come and assess Michael for a placement. People haven't turned up. Not that we want him to go to a nursing home but we are being forced into doing this by the hospital trust because care package taking a long time to get set up. Feeling annoyed after racing down the motorway to get here.

I did my hanging baskets a few weeks ago. I thought I would put them up today. Hung one up. Hook broke! SPLAT! Plants everywhere. Even more annoyed.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Collapsed on settee with a glass of wine. Discovered (at about 6.45pm) that the freezer had died. Luckily I hadn't opened it all day so everything except the icecream on top was still frozen. DIL rushed home and reorganized her freezer and I phoned a friend, who had half a freezer free. About 90% is now relocated and a new freezer coming on Saturday. Phew!

Lovely morning again.
Blood test this morning so no breakfast.
Good job you realised about your freezer before it was too late to rescue.
