The Christmas tree.

The ritual of putting up the Christmas tree has always been a source of joy to herself, a golden ball here, a little angel there, she takes great pains to get it right for the Grandchildren. She's been doing it every year since we got married (1965) and she won't let me near it when she's in action (not that I want to be). I have to say she does a great job and the end product justifies her hard work. Anyone else like doing this job?.

Every time I dress a tree the decorations always look lopsided on it.

Yes I like to do ours myself every year, if the grandchildren help I wait till they've gone home then do it properly! I can have the lights flashing now, couldn't before because of Murphy's (GSD) epilepsy, just to be on the safe side.

I'm always the one who decorates our tree, my husband has no idea how to do it!

My wife loves to do the decorations and the Tree is out of bounds to me after I have fitted the lights on them.

Don't have a Christmas Tree, so don't have to go through the ritual of decorating one every year....

I don't let OH anywhere near the tree dressing either apart from getting it in the house and putting it in the container. There are some things that need a woman's artistic touch

Re: The Christmas tree.

Im rather precious about the tree too lol I absolutely love dressing it and I take great pride in it! Ive 2 sets of decorations which I alternate from year to year.. this year it'll be the clear glass baubles and droppers and the strung beads not tinsel and lovely shiney lametta to finish it off!
Last year I bought a 3ft artificial one that had rather a lovely shape so providing ive moved I shall dress that one too but use selected bits from decoration box 2 lol

I don't have a Xmas tree - my parrots would demolish it! I like to see them though but not so early as folk put them up now!
