Over 50's Christmas
It was Christmas day at the over 50'sBut not much was happening I fear,
Just a few O50's raising their voice
Trying their best to get some cheer,
There were some facts, a few liitle quips
There was'nt even any beer,
And dont even have to raise your voice
You could hear a pin drop in here,
There's food a plenty on the table
There's a piano for someone to play,
This silence is for the library rooms
Are your feet really made of clay,
Now come on all ye merry old folk
Pretend that you are really young,
Reach out a hand, give the cheer a stoke
Let no Christmas song go unsung.
Liven up this place with song or voice
Whatever you want it is your choice
Christmas is here and needs a lift
Open your mind if you get my drift
I want to see some energy flow
Not sit down and read, lots of get up and go
Life is for living for all walks of life
Not sitting around and feeling the strife
So come my friends let make some joy
Make this christmas one to enjoy
Open your minds and heart
Let this Christmas be lifes Start
