More than likely.

Pin-head Cooper-Balls track record isn't exactly that of democracy and serving the people.

She's back .....

Home Secretary Priti Patel is taking to the podium now. This is the first time she has fronted the government's daily coronavirus briefing.

She's joined by Martin Hewitt from the National Police Chiefs' Council and Prof Stephen Powis, NHS England's medical director.

Re: 'Where is Priti Patel?'

Patel fights off PPE criticism as death toll rises

During questions, Ms Patel was pressed several times on whether she would apologise to NHS workers who have complained about a lack of protective equipment.

She responded that she was "sorry if people feel there have been failings" and repeated that answer when asked to clarify if she was apologising.
Sticking to the script .....

You know that for a fact do you, or is it just your personal conjecture perhaps? If not, then could you enlighten us as to why you think she hasn't been working flat out?

Re: 'Where is Priti Patel?'

Priti is missing again ..... is it because:

Priti Patel's pledge to crack down on migrants is left in tatters as it emerges 336 people have already crossed Channel into Britain this month

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...t-tatters.html

The Home Secretary vowed in the autumn that the illegal journeys would be virtually eliminated by now.

But Home Office figures show that so far this month at least 336 men, women and children have made the treacherous trip from northern France – the highest monthly total logged.

This includes 72 caught on Easter Sunday after a number of small-boat crossings. More are expected as the weather improves.

There is mounting frustration in Whitehall that despite being given millions of pounds, the French authorities are not doing enough to stop the crossings.

Miss Patel insists that tackling the crisis is a 'top priority' but MPs and ex-border chiefs warned last night she has failed to 'get a grip'.

Since the start of the year, 802 migrants have arrived on the beaches of Kent and Sussex in flimsy vessels. Another 246 reached the UK in December, including 60 on Christmas Day.

In view of the demonstrated lack of will to work to the requirements of a Conservative government minister it's no surprise that the obviously labour supporting CS have not been busting a bit to follow her instructions.

Re: 'Where is Priti Patel?'

No sign of of Priti for a week - the absence, from the public gaze, of a senior minister when the Prime Minister is unavailable is most unusual - any other Home Secretary would surely have shown their face more than once under the present circumstances, if only to give the impression of a team effort .....
