Food waste

I was just cooking pasta, I already had two packets before lockdown, just as well.
Anyway, I wonder if much more food was wasted that people hoarded, t'would be interesting to know.

Re: Food waste

We should be hoarding water now, serious shortages due to weather.
Wild fires predicted too

Re: Food waste

Not waste, the assorted wildlife round our place eat just about anything we leave out for them. In the case of the badgers they come scratching at the door, the vixen has taken to bringing her six kits on the lawn and the lot of them come up when we're in the Summerhouse. Various birds come down and eat anything that fits in their beaks and the garden blackbird regularly flies down on our shoulders and squarks for suet and mealworms. Waste? Some hope. Too many gobs to be fed!

Re: Food waste

No food waste here Tess. I didn't overstock on anything.

Well, I lie, I made sure I had plenty of loo roll. I need those more than the food.

Re: Food waste

The only things that go to waste (well, the communal compost bin really) here are apple cores, banana skins and tea bags.

Re: Food waste

No waste here as such. I still have a few cans of Nettle & Roadkill soup that no one else wanted.
