The Japanese have stated that they wish to have a Trade Agreement on cars by the end of this year.

They have also stated that they have concerns that we have the capability to deliver this.
Let's hope that agreement is quickly made. God knows the UK workers need it.

Our unemployment figures say otherwise.

The EU is going to bring misery on the 27 for generations. Are we glad we are out of that mess.

I hear Nissan are threatening to pull out of the EU as well and move everything here if tarrifs are imposed. Thats a double whammy for the 27.

11 months.... tick tock.

Bread, bread, bread, you'll never learn, won't you?

Nissan denied having made such a plan, however, and said its Sunderland plant would be under threat along with its European operations if the UK fails to ensure tariff-free access to the EU market. Following the UK’s departure from the EU on Friday, both sides are expected to set out their negotiating positions on Monday before trade talks next month.

A Nissan spokesman said on Monday:*“We deny such a contingency plan exists. We’ve modelled every possible ramification of Brexit and the fact remains that our entire business both in the UK and in Europe is not sustainable in the event of WTO [World Trade Organisation] tariffs.

Re: Canada threatening EU

The Nisson bosses over there in Barcelona and France must have been wiping the sweat from their brows when that bit about closing both of the European plants and moving all production to Sunderland in the event of tariffs on cars coming into being. It's no wonder according to European media they are denying they ever said it. Ho Hum! Nuff said.
