Your last?

I've asked about the first musical show you went to.

How about your last!

Mine was last year to see Marty Wilde in his 80th birthday tour at the Embassy Theatre Skegness.

A few months before seeing Marty I'd been to see Frankie Valli at the Genting arena Birmingham.

So - when was your last?

Re: Your last?

I jumped the gun and mentioned my last in my first!

Tom Petty, Hyde Park, July 2017. Also playing that day Stevie Nicks (oops! I just typoed that as Stevie Nocks! ) and The Lumineers.

Re: Your last?

I went to hundreds of gigs in the 70s, a few in the 80s and quit in the early 90s ... Morrissey at the Hammersmith Odeon was my last proper concert. I did see Wilko Johnson a couple of times after that in a pub in Putney.

My all time favourite live band was Led Zeppelin, saw them four times back in the day, but turned down tickets for their reunion show at the O2 Dome in 2007. I'm just not interested in artists that have past it, or tribute bands. I live on the memory of the real thing at the height of their powers and energy.

I feel Carol's next thread might be,... "...Your Best?"

I would have liked to have seen Tom Petty

Re: Your last?

Last one, I think, was The Jersey Boys (if that counts) if not it was Cher at the NEC.

Re: Your last?

My last band was The Troggs at the local Leagues Club in the 1980s.

I have been to many musical shows since then but I don't think that was what you meant. For example I saw Leo Sayer at the Premier's Seniors' Concert a few years ago (Leo Sayer lives in Australia)

Frankston Opera doing Carmen.

The singing and music was quite good but the scenery was a bit wobbly.

Status Quo, in Plymouth. Can't remember the year though, it was at the Pavilions.

Re: Your last?

If club gigs don't count our last concert was The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra at The Sydney Recital Centre. Awesome.
