New: change the font size in everyone's posts

Hi guys!

Just a quick note to let you know you can now change the font size for posts

Just go to your options page, and right at the bottom there will be an option for 'Font size in posts' and select the one you want and then click on save

As this new option is now in place, please do not use a different font, or font size when posting yourself - as that will override this new option. The font size/font type/formatting tools are generally reserved for special cases - like when posting a thread to look like a 'poster' etc. So please only use them in such cases (or, we'll have to think about disabling them). Thanks for your understanding.

Hope you like this new option

Edit: Please do not use the bold tag (or in fact any other formatting tag) for the entire (or majority) of your post either - as mentioned above, formatting options are there to be used sparingly, in special cases or when highlighting/emphasising specific points or words (or sentences - when there's more than a few). Thanks!

Fantastic Azz thank you.
I was beginning to feel I was being shouted at sometimes as larger and larger fonts appeared in some posts .

I'm pleased with the change too, Azz thank you!

I found it difficult adjusting to the different sizes of font ..... tended to skip some of the posts.

As Meg said, I too felt someone was trying to make themselves heard!

Thanks from me too Azz. I was always advised that large fonts or bold text was akin to shouting so I don`t bother to read such posts. Let`s hope the new system suits most posters!

Thanks here too! I definitely find the "shouting" type size off-putting.

Just for brevity, I've added this to the first post:

Edit: Please do not use the bold tag (or in fact any other formatting tag) for the entire (or majority) of your post either - as mentioned above, formatting options are there to be used sparingly, in special cases or when highlighting/emphasising specific points or words (or sentences - when there's more than a few). Re: New: change the font size in everyone's posts

I have had this site set at 120 percent magnification for some time.

After trying this new settings, have found the front page is small print.....so will use a mixture of the 2, set at 120 percent and enlarged text......perfect.

My eyes must be rubbish.
