The Tunnel has two ends. I'm not sure at exactly which point our sovereignty begins and ends, but presumably we shall be at liberty to allow or deny entry to anyone we don't want.

Of course, that's assuming that we have a competent and unbiased government, but that's up to us at voting time, isn't it?

Re: Getting ready for Brexit.

Hi

If we stay in we will have to accept free movement from within the EU.

If we leave and join the EEA, we will still have to accept free movement, as Norway does.

If we leave and follow the Switzerland Trade model, we will still have to accept free movement.

If we leave and follow the WTO Model, there is no free movement.

If we leave and follow none of the above it is up to us to negotiate a completely different Trade Agreement between the UK and the EU which does not involve free movement.

All of the above are possibilities.

Naturally, I'd go with the latter. Even if we went for one of the other options, our leaving the sinking ship would induce others to follow and consequently the whole corrupt caboodle would collapse.

Problem is who do we believe?
It is working when we here that the EU controls our VAT from the Brexit camp, total lies members control their own, in fact they don't have to charge anything at all, it's great when you see Gove stating something and his face gets redder and redder, you watch him next time.

Re: Getting ready for Brexit.

The pound plunged again against the dollar as Brexit becomes more popular. What does it take to make English people wake up to reality. We are no longer an Empire, feared and respected by the rest of the world. We are a tiny country, with few friends and in thrall to global conglomerates.

The EU is our only ally. Far from bringing independence, Brexit will leave us with no defences against shoddy and dangerous imports, without rules and standards of quality or safety. You complain about rules and regulations but they keep us safe in the knowledge that what we buy is not contaminated or dangerously faulty. Would you buy your food from the internet? Without controls we would never know where our goods are coming from or what they contained.

As for this stupid idea of immigrants must have qualifications. Whose going to pick our strawberries, plant our potatoes, clean our hospitals, hotels, stores and warehouses? You Brexiters?

That can be done by the fit unemployed who say they can't get a job. Those who are not disabled should work for their benefits.

A tiny country geographically, perhaps, but aren't we the world's fifth largest economy?

Feared and respected? Perhaps not. Thanks to our government and our do-gooders, I suspect the world laughs at us!

The EU our ally? Really? If the EU is an ally I'd rather be in bed with our enemies.

We can't stop them crossing on boats they don't need the tunnel, someone is making a lot of money bringing them over.

Boris and his cronies don't stand a chance, they are going around the country telling lies, even the battle wagon tells a lie before they have even opened their mouths, when it has plastered all over it that the EU costs the UK £350 million a week, the biggest lie of all peddled of course by Ukip in the first place.
