Re: Neighbours

I live in a small village where most people know each other. The house next door is currently unoccupied. Last people were OK, but kept very much to themselves. They did moan when I built a summerhouse, saying that it would spoil their view. I pointed out that I had full planning permission to build a bungalow in my garden and I might do that instead!

The ones on the other side are OK too, but we don't share any common interests. Nearby are builders who are fantastic and help with advice and the loan of tools. They even put up a scaffold tower for me to replace a skylight and wouldn't accept any payment.

Re: Neighbours

Yes thankfully, I have very good neighbours and also all the residents in our road are very nice and would help you if necessary, and a lot of my neighbours give me apples and plums, as I only have a small garden.

What a blessing to have such nice people around you. I'd love it if we could all look out for each other here. Rotten neighbours can really make life very difficult.

No problems at all with any of mine. We help each other out whenever necessary.

Re: Neighbours

We don't have problems either. The neighbours to the left of us tend to be somewhat nosy re everyone and the husband can be a pain up the culo as he thinks everyone should do as he says and he of course is always right, but on the whole they are good neighbours. The rest of our immediate neighbours are a mixed nationality bunch but all are pleasant and we all help each other out when we can.
