He's outspoken one because he's passionate about his subject
And two because he has Aspergers Syndrome so struggles in social situations
The Countryside Alliance are the ones up themselves they just want to preserve the Countryside for a minority to hunt and shoot .

An alternative petition has been set up asking the BBC NOT to sack him .

Another prat with no experience of real life.

Re: Chris Packham and the Countryside Aliance

What have four year olds got to do with anything ?
If they are out with a responsible adult the said adult will keep the away from such sights should there be any .
Crows mainly feed on carrion ie dead creatures .
A careful farmer will visit his sheep every day and remove any dead lambs .
i have seen loads of lambs in these last few days as I walk through the fields .
Fortunately none have had their eyes pecked out .
Some farmers lamb their ewes inside if a ewe has birthing difficulties . The time when they are most at risk from predators and carrion seekers

Hi

When they go out and see them first.

That is life, Brodie would be out of the door in a flash.

Culling of predators when their numbers become excessive is one thing but turning culling into a "sport" is obscene.

The average four year old does not go out on his or her own in fields with sheep .
Or if he does he's darn well needs responsible parents .

It is sometimes necessary to cull animals .
But the Countryside aliance are such a bunch of hypocrites .
There is no need to cull foxes they are self controlling .
Nor badgers all that TB stuff is not supported by any real evidence .
Crows and magpies ?
I don't know how much damage they actually do
Pigeons which everyone seems to hate are shot by just about anyone with a gun and they don't kill anything .
Other species are open game because they are invasive
Ie Canada geese

Anyway the fuss is all about General licences to shoot certain wildlife which have been temporarily revoked .

Re: Chris Packham and the Countryside Aliance

All wild animals are automatically culled by natural processess
when their numbers become too numerous for their environment.
Either by means of starvation, desease, or heavier predation!
This process may take as long as several years to be completed
and causes much stress to the animals, which in turn causes
their fertility rate to fall, also assisting in reducing animal
numbers.
The same process then also controls predator numbers because
their are less animals to eat, until balance is again regained.
You have probably allready guessed who the only animal is
that this law does not apply to, this same animal is also
responsible for breaking the natural cycles that are supposed
to control life on this planet, by claiming huge areas as
personal property! and erecting fences etc, thus depriving
migratory animals of their range, thus causing over intensive
grazing, which then requires culling to keep land productive!
However, the topic was Chris Packem, so l leave you to
Judge the merits of the topic!

Best Regards Donkeyman!
