Pay apps

Do any of you have Google pay or a similar app on your phone?
Is it like contactless...limited to £30 a transaction?
And do you find it safe?

Re: Pay apps

I still use an old Bakelight wind up phone, where I have to wind the handle and shout 'Get me Pizza Hut.' So no, I don't have a pay app.

Re: Pay apps

Can't see the point of mobile App payment systems if you have a contactless card (unless you intend spending over the £30 limit). Are they supposed to be more secure?

Yes - when you pay in stores, Google Pay uses an encrypted number instead of your actual card number, so your real card details stay safe.
