What he did was truly inspirational but is it really the way we should be funding the NHS , when the government doesn't.
This sad lot voted against the very people they are clapping, getting a pay rise ,whilst they showered the bankers with cash, when they brought Britain to it's knees.

I'm normally very sceptical about who gets these knighthoods, and the reasons why.
But have to say Capt Tom is a worthy recipient. Well done Sir.

Has a great and wicked sense of humour. On Anglia TV made the reporter laugh when he said that kneeling before the Queen is something he would wish to do, getting down not a problem but he would need a helping hand from HM to get back up! Reporter replied she would like to see that, he quipped back, so would I. He certainly has a sparkle about him, his demeanour totally changed from when we first heard of his effort.

When asked what pisses him of he replied those bloody Spitfires that keep going over my house making all that noise (i'm only joking)

What a superb Man and a fine example to every one including a bloody lot of youngsters in this country.

Re: A well-deserved knighthood!

I am sure there will be many others, including myself, who are wondering where those £ millions raised by this remarkable old soldier went, below is the link to a news item giving details of some of the recipients:

"More than £20m raised by Captain Tom Moore has been handed out to NHS charities across the country.

Each charity has been given £35,000 from the £32.8m fund and a second grant based on the size of the trust they serve, said NHS Charities Together.

The charity at the hospital where Capt Tom was treated for a broken hip and skin cancer received £122,500.

NHS Charities Together said the donations were "already having a huge impact and will continue to do so"."
