Farting is a fact of life. I do it accidently more often since I've got older. My Mother was the same, though she wasn't as open about it. I still wonder why noisy farts don't smell yet silent ones are deadly.

And, Wet ones are distressing, especially if away from home at the time.

It really is quite surprising the variety of subjects to be found on Over50sForum, it never ceases to amaze me! Nobody could ever say that almost all aspects life cannot be found on here!

Yes, I can relate to that as well & I always carry a spare pair of knickers in my bag too.

About 30 years ago I had a bout of IBS, glad I can smile about now.

It was no laughing matter at the time.

I once worked with a Canadian guy who if anyone broke wind within his earshot would come out with "Speak again oh toothless one!". He claimed he picked it up from some First Nation People he knew.

Hrm, together with coughing or sneezing I would guess that laughing was the LAST thing one would want to do.
