HiSome posts are quite amusing, especially when comparing brands.
We have a huge meat packers here, the animals come down the line, cut up and packed, the packaging changes, the meat does not.
It is te same at the egg producers, same eggs, four brands, four different prices.
It is only the packaging that changes.
It is even more marked in the dairies.
There are very few dairies in the UK, milk is milk, cream is cream, just different packaging and hugely different prices.

I shal be visiting E.H Booth, the "posh" supermarket which is still family-owned and which Waitrose tried, and failed, to buy, later. I drop in for "the better things in life" every few days.Most customers will, indeed, be well-dressed and well behaved and, TBH, I like that. Very few, though will be sporting tweeds or £250 "hairdos" - that may happen further north, in the Lake District .....

I do all my shopping in both Lidl and Aldi out of preference, I have other supermarkets nearer. I never realised there was a snob value about them, the customers look just the same as Tesco and Sainsburys.I have never noticed a smell, perhaps it's only certain places?
I think Lidl is slightly better, it is bigger and has a larger range of items.

I have an Aldi a short walk from this rental, with a Lidl a few minutes drive away in the retail park. I would and do shop in either store, and I too can’t understand this snobbery! I’ve also shopped in every supermarket going, but draw the line at the expensive Waitrose. And M&S.(And I love B&M and Home Bargains.)
