When Scots were asked in 2014 they said "British" & the Welsh - although they haven't been asked specifically - aren't likely to be any different either.

BTW, what the heck has Scots in Oz or anywhere else got to do with this?
People from a huge number of places have enclaves all over the world you know.
Most places have a "Chinatown" and the USA is full of "Irish" bars just as a few examples.

assimilate with the majority of UK's citizens then we are condemned

Despite what the media choose to let you see I can assure you that Nic Sturgeon does not speak for every single Scottish citizen you know.
In fact it seems that she doesn't even speak for a majority of Scots despite years of propaganda.
Oh and BTW, when Scots were asked in 2014 they decisively said that they wanted to remain British.
The vast majority don't want to lose the GB£ as currency either.
You know; the BRITISH pound.
The majority want to remain British and what you're decribing is a minority.
IMHO you need to stop paying quite so much attention to what the biased media are falsely suggesting.
Float what you want and of course theorizing is fun, but I'm afraid that if you're going to start with false assumptions in the first place then the end result is likely to be even more unrealistic.
Now will you return to the thread topic rather than waffle on about something else entirely please and if you want to carry on with your theorizing be polite enough to start your own thread.
