Re: In China they call it Yi dai - Yi Lu - The belt road initiative

well well well I suppose one could say it was bound to happen but not so quickly? Opposition to the Belt Road Initiative is mounting and the Chinese of course don't like it in fact have been reported as furious about it?

https://www.dw.com/en/cracks-appear-...oad/a-57388521

the whole project has "shonkeyness" written all over it and it could come tumble down like a pack of badly built cards?

In fact it could be suggested that the entire process was one of high level bribery and corruption on a global scale and rather like all those empty cities they keep building on the mainland with no one living in them - looks ok from the outside but inside empty?

Good article bret. Germany yeah?...so china is furious?...again??.. Seems they spend most of their time furious. Like a spoiled brat that cant get his way. You know something?..i reckon that despite all their money and strutting up and down..even despite the nukes...and this is the great irony...the thing that is going to stuff it for them the most is that they are just so mind numbingly boring. Jmo of course.

Beijing had become a victim of its own Belt and Road.
Worse yet, the numbers do indeed support some of the criticism. China’s overseas investment growth has been on a sharp decline over the past three years, with Moody’s claiming that this is due to an increased awareness of the risks inherent to major BRI projects. Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Kyrgyzstan, among other countries have canceled, downsized, or postponed key BRI projects, and the initiative seems to be going through a period of retreat to an extent that some researchers are suggesting that we may have already seen “peak” Belt and Road

The strategic countries for the continuing growth of the new Chinese dynasty that will spread across the world, and it will, continues apace. The countries that you mention are predominantly Islamic, though Myanmar is fighting the invasion, and since the PRC are hardly bedfellows with anything islamic it's hardly surprising.

Hi KZ, I got that book, "The silent invasion " on me kindle and as you
say it opens your eyes to what's going on?
It's a a lot like what's happened over here with the Muslims??
And a lot of it is down to our own politicians as well ??
Anyway thanks for the book info !!

Hi

It is a problem of our own making, especially here in the UK.

Unlike many others we have not given protection to our strategic industries.

Our mantra of Free Trade, get it at the cheapest price has come back to bite us.
