I hate the fact I like bacon..

We need to genetically alter our selves to be vegetarian.- as well as have bullet proof organs... though thinking about it some of our species has already a head start....

I thought this gruesome practice had been done already, with pigs hearts?
I must be wrong.

I don't agree with it.
If someone dies and their organs are donated, that is different, but to rear these young animals solely to cut them up and nick their organs seems gruesome to me.

On the other hand, the poor pigs/lamb/calves/poultry etc are on a loser from the day they are born, because if they don't have their hearts cut out, they'll have their throats cut and end up on humans dinner plates.

This news makes me sick to my stomach. Research should be in the direction of using stem cells to regrow organs - not to use an intelligent species for the flippant use by such an arrogant, resource demanding, destructive species that is already overpopulating the planet.
