It wasn't damp. I spent my life painting over the stains, which kept reappearing but with different Welsh words and images. The original part of the house was 1610, but it had several extensions over the years.

Tara, am I imagining things.... when I click to enlarge your photo I can see faded writing on the wall Can you also see that?

Mrs Fox and me were smitten with Guernsey the first time we visited the island in May 2012. So smitten in fact we returned the same year in August. We now visit Guernsey every year for at least a fortnight.....

I haven't been back there since 2013, I doubt I will go back again.
