I don't usually but I have. I do a lot of physical work (not paid work, pshaw!) & it feels good to 1st go to sleep but I regret it once I'm up because I see what I could've gotten done, sigh.

I have lunch, see to the pots (my job) and go and have a half hour's nap.........bliss. Mind you, I get up about 4.30am every morning.

This very much depends on how 'heavy' a lunch I have and how warm and comfortable I am settled in my reclining armchair. It has not be unknown for me to lay back in my chair and 'nod off'.

No Jan darlin' - in the mornings I'm preparing, cooking and eating breakfast, and then later in the morning preparing, cooking and eating my lunch. Only after I've managed to consume the contents of my freezer will I sit back in my chair and maybe' nod off'.

Re: Do You Take An Afternoon Nap

No, I cant seem to go to sleep for a nap. I go to bed about 10ish sleep by about 11pm, wake up about 3 or 4am, listen to the radio then have a doze until about 7 or 7.30am. So have a good 7 hours a night even though there is a gap in the hours. I have to be doing something, too much to think about without sleeping. I am one who doesn't feel tired when I have eaten so don't have that problem.

Re: Do You Take An Afternoon Nap

If I go for a morning run I tend to need to shut my eyes for a time, or if I get too warm in front of the fire I will defnitely nod off, in the afternoon or at any other time.

I find it a bit disconcerting cos quite often there isn't any prior warning - bang and I'm asleep. Now that I have moved in to the front room, which is colder, I haven't been nodding off in the afternoon at all.
