It's just so disabling. Today my temperature has spiked a couple of times,leaving me with a headache. I couldn't go home because then it would be out of control leaving me with a real chance of death. I've to leave these infusions a go until Monday, when, if I'm no better, they'll try something else. I've never felt so close to death before. I know there is no way I'd survive outside of hospital and that's a very scary thought.

I'd thought that I would at least get a break before the end of the year, being able to spend the weeks as I'd like.

Is hard even to know where I could have got an infection from, preferring mostly my own company and not going out much.

I've not even being eating anything that is bad for me - fruits and vegetables which I was washing first. They did say to ring them if my temperature was persistently over 38 which mine was, hitting 39.5 once. At those temperatures your body is liable to get all sorts of nasty things, even if you're not a Non Hodgkins sufferer.

Try and relax, once the infection is under control you will feel better.

I cut my sister out of my life. She only came to see me if I was ill in hospital. The rest of the year I'd ask her to Tesco's or Costa for coffee and she would always make up an excuse.

Plus she was like a little ghoul, waiting for me to die. Well now she'll never find out plus I won't be leaving her any money.

The doctors are aiming to have me home by the beginning of the week which is somewhat reassuring. They have no idea what caused the infection.

But at least they should give me a bag of antibiotics this time.
