Urine Dipstick test

I had my urine tested at a clinic today and they said I have protein and traces of blood in it. Has anyone had experience of this at all. I have to see my doctor for further tests they said. I’m a bit worried now.

Re: Urine Dipstick test

Hi Sharon

I understand there are many reasons why protein and blood can be found in the urine.

Try not to worry as it's probably treatable whatever it is.

Yes a lot of the time Sharon, on most cases in means you are Diabetic. Have they tested you for Diabetes? or it could also be a bladder infection, or sometime Medication. But don't worry about it, its nothing serious.
