Mothers with young children can insist on them being given separately. Perhaps they do not realise this.

Re: Measles

Perhaps they get intimidated by health professions.
Years back I refused to allow my children to have the whooping cough vaccine because I don't think it's necessary ( I had whooping cough as a child myself )
It was a bit of a struggle but they acquiesced .

It's actually quite difficult to insist, even though her consultant said not to vaccinate when she was a baby the GP surgery were very funny about providing what she needed later. Made it feel like her Mum was a criminal and threatened to strike her off the list. We got involved and spoke to the GP for her which kept her on the list but we had to source the vaccinations ourselves, luckily the consultant was so incensed he got them and sorted it all out.

I'm not sure it's parents don't know as much as GPs refuse and harry people into doing it.

Re: Measles

Not too badly. Seems they had one of the mums on the phone last night so they knew what was coming today. They are saying they are taking it seriously and it seems only one year doing it so Monday they are having a serious talk with them about their safety and what could have gone wrong . As the deputy head said put the fear of God in them !
I've bought some stick on tattoos for grace to use at week ends only if she is so determined to have one at her age. They wash off i am assured so no tats at school.
See I'm not that mean after all
