Do you often have food that's gone off?

On my last Tesco online shop I had so many items that were dated 4th November that I've had to throw them out as they are visibly going off.

An avocado, a big bag of cabbage and broccoli plus a few other items. I think, what a waste!

I think it's because there's a minimum spend of £40 or they add another £4 on to the price that I order things that I don't have time to eat. My freezer is full at least and I have enough to eat but I need to shop more diligently next time.

Quite often food we buy buy from our local Sainsdreary's is starting to go off before the sell by date. Last year, the head of Saindreary's announced that after Brexit, food might go off quicker so I will need to cut out the middle man I think.

We often use Quorn products that are a few days out of date because there is not much that can wrong with them but I am always wary of any meat and tend not to take a chance.

The food we waste most are those bags of salad which I hate but Mrs LD likes.

Never.

I had major stomach surgery many years ago that made me think twice about what I eat.

Sometimes. My husband and I often eat different things and he still works so some stuff I don’t notice until my nose does and then yes, it’s off but I try and keep up on tossing stuff out

I don't always believe Use By Dates, I tend to use my nose more. But having said that, I seldom need to as it's normally used up before the date.

Very very rarely although our fridge went wrong last week and we did lose a lot of food, that's not something I like to happen.

I bought a Packet of Ham Trimmings that was still in date, but only lasted 3 days and it all went off and I hadn't even opened it.
