No we aren't so stop saying my kids are in danger over a difference of opinion. As for treating them as humans, if I was I'd be expecting them to go to work and buy their own food, it's because they are animals they must be cared for above the humans in our family they can't look after themselves.

..Children come second.. well how very strange and heartless is that sentiment, I feel very sorry for the children that you have brought up feeling that they are second to your animals

These are the only thoughts that I have ever agreed with by

Helpless come first here I'm not apologising for that until they can open a tin and feed themselves.

Thank goodness most people put their children before their animals.

I wonder if Julie would rescue her flipping animals before her children in the event of a fire?

They'd all be coming together T the kids would expect to help with them too, it's a family not a lot of individuals cohabiting.

Its all well planned as we live in a flat we have things in place to enable us all to survive.

But if you could only rescue an animal or a child, which would it be?

I won't pretend to know it would depend who I could save I guess, I don't swim, so I'd probably drown trying to get to either, I'm rather disabled so I can't climb or crawl or run so I'm likely to need saving myself.

I do know I'd try but I also know I have no idea how I'd react in a crisis, I have surprised myself in the past at times of crisis.

I think it is awful that you would even consider rescuing an animal before your child.

I did. The fact that you didn't state that your child would always come first, doesn't speak well of you, imo.
