My favourite sections in this group are where the pictures of your pets are. You do have such gorgeous furry friends. I used to have cats but since we now have lots of birds in the back garden we are keeping doggies in place of moggies. The first two we had were brothers called Bobby & Monty. They are no longer with us but I would like to tell you about them. Watch out for a thread called Bobby & Monty. In the meantime, Have A Nice Day.

Looking forward,to hearing about Bobby and Monty,..

I look forward to reading about Bobby and Monty Peripheral
I have had the same breed of dogs Miniature Schnauzers for 50 years , I used to have cats but no more, I couldn't cope with them wandering off and getting run over.

Give me dogs over most humans any day, you know where you are dogs no sly deceitful behaviour from them.

Re: Precious furry friends.

I read a thing this very evening that sums it all up nicely, I thought.
Here it is:

"At the end of the day, most people just want dogs for companionship. The connection we feel towards them might be even stronger than the ones we feel for human family members sometimes.

Dogs don't judge us, answer back or lie to us - in fact, they are the source of comfort that many people crave.
It doesn't matter who you are, what you look like, or what job you do, as long as you are kind to your dog, he or she will love you.

It is this trust and loyalty that draws us in and makes us love them right back."

Says it all really, doesn't it.

That's so true, most of ours have helped bring the kids up too, can't get a better baby sitter than a dog that loves a child, they won't let anyone near the child. Teaches them gentleness and kindness too. Perhaps a certain member lacked that as a child I can't think of any other reason to be so nasty to people.

Before the angry person says anything I never leave kids and dogs alone together, always supervised until the child is of an age to care for the animal, Nathan would tell you he was 17 before I trusted him
