Listening to people on radio who deal with cases like this apparently there are several a year just like this. Many countries lock up uk citizens or duel nationality ones on very flimsy evidence. They are not easy to get out either. Takes a while and a lot of diplomacy to free them.Re: Woman in jail in Iran
I think she has dual nationality which has complicated matters. The UK government cannot protect dual citizens in the other country. She has worked in the media industry and has past links to a company that provides training for Iranian journalists. They see her as a spy and insurgent.Re: Woman in jail in Iran

Can anybody tell me why this case is being given more attention than other people who are imprisoned in countries all over the world?
