Breaking news R1, 39 dead bodies found in truck inRainham
Essex, how many truck loads are still arriving as we speak?
Who pays to cremate that lot now? Or do we drive them straight
back to France and leave them there?Untill they learn it is too
difficult or dangerous to attempt to do this they will continue to
do this with these ' mishaps' occuring more regularly??
We need tight borders and even airports need to be better
controlled as well!!

Despite all the politicians' bluster, our borders are a joke. We even have a national taxi service to bring them here once they have entered the Channel in their little boats.

I'm afraid that, one way or another, the whole country is a joke now. I'm afraid I cannot see a very bright future for the UK even if we manage to escape from the EU!

At age 68, it doesn't really bother me too much personally, but what a legacy we have left for our younger generations who, of course, are too naive to know what's good for them. When I say 'we', of course, it is really our politicians and those who run the country.

At age 84 this year JBR, I feel much the same as you as you may
have picked up?
But dont you think we ourselves are to blame for the standard of
leadership in uk by our apathy to politics,' understandable though it
is', which allows these shysters to get away with it?

But it seems reality1 has a point in an open border in ireland. Whether by plane, or in this case via ferry from france, once in ireland they cross over to britain by the lorryload. There must be thousands by now, and with farage's proposal of an open border it will become more by the day.

Erdogan has millions of them he can send to bulgaria, where the present 39 came from.

So migrants go by plane with their passports and fly into dublin. Then sneak aboard a lorry bound for the UK and enter it illegally.... what is stopping them from doing that now ?

You should understand the difference between tourism, legal immigration and illegal immigration.

Now I come to think of it, wasn't it Erdogan who said if the EU doesn't give visa free access to Turks to the EU Shengen area then he will open the floodgates and let 1 million migrants through....

We aren't in Schengen and neither is Ireland.... just saying

As you say Solly, the truck came from Bulgaria, But surely not
via Ireland??
Two more customs transits plus keeping them hidden for longer??
I remember in the 70 s they were coming in in trucks from
France even then!
That was in the days of Enoch Powell, in the days when some
poloticians talked sense!
But as you say Solly, there must be millions by now??

Staying out of schengen didn't help stem immigration. As these 39 painfully show.

It is what farage promised brexit would do. As shown by your own posts, farage now favours an open border in ireland, thus opening the gates to walhalla UK.

But what more can we do, other than vote wisely?
