Very long story

Happened to me in 1999.

Shoreditch one way system(A joke)

At 2 pm traffic was at a stand still.

I wanted to turn left to Betnall green.

So went down the Bus lane.

A copper on a bike pulled me up at 2pm

told me off and gave me a fixed pen fine of £20.

Got a notice if I wanted to go to court and yes to fight it.

I said yes see you in court.

Got a notice asking of my defence

They said way

I said the bus lane was from 7 to 11

they replyed and said that Shoreditch police station I was sa was wrong.

So I brought a camera and took a photo of the sign to prove my point in court.

Trouble was I was parked on a double red line even on a Sunday

Cop car pulled and am asked what I was doing so told them what happened he said its those idiots out of Bow station(Motor bikes cops) and laugh and went on his way

5 months later had a court case for the next Tuesday got a letter on the Friday saying that case was dropped as the Bus lane was not in use at the time I used it.

All for £20
