Thank you for all your replies . Leo is doing really well and already seems quite at home .
I believe the person who had to give him up was very upset . Sadly as he comes from a rescue they will never know how happy he is .
leo has been here for three weeks now . He had a big day today as he went out in the garden for the first time . He is exhausted by all the excitement of that and is now fast asleep .

The lady is probably beating herself up for having to give him up and he couldn't be happier .
That is what I meant. It would give her some comfort to know her cat was still having a happy life but I suppose it creates extra work to let them know.
