No 'double standard' at all, mate.
There are just under 100 sub-species of roo in this country.
SIX can be legally shot - because they are in plague proportions and in no way under threat.
Indeed, culling provides distinct environmental benefits and threatens no other species.
For the umpteenth time, feral cats are NOT "natural" predators in this environment because they are an
introduced species from which
native fauna have no instinctive defence.
Several are now
actually extinct solely because of the cats and a number more are under severe threat from that same introduced predator.
It is no different from throwing a bunch of lions into a school yard and then saying that the end-result is OK because it is just "natural".
