Just order terminal covers for my Nikon D300These are the terminals needing new covers
So ordered this. Not cheap but correct for an expensive camera
having found out how to remove the neck strap camera connecting ring
Ok why go to all that cost and trouble when you can get cheap single terminal covers? well i did and they kept falling off.
the old terminal cover had perished and I do like to keep my camera gear in good condition. So already replaced the hand grip rubber as the original material swelled with heat from the hand and wouldn't fit properly again. That is the bit under the red stripe in the first photo.
So now the camera is in a peli camera case waiting for the new part to come from China next month or sooner
