No, none as I don't order online at all!

The only ones I ever get are those that neighbours order online but are never in to receive, in that case the driver and van / lorry can be seen in the lane outside and as I don't order online I know they are not for me!

Re: Petition by Age UK protesting withdrawal of free TV licences for over 75s

My impression of the BBCs financial workings is that they
are totally incapable of living within their means!
Ever increasing wage bills, ever decreasing quality of services
and now trying to force hard up pensioners to help pay
for it all, BBC has become a gravy train instead of a
broadcasting company which was originally started with
public funds and licence fees!
I fail to see how they lose anything by letting pensioners
off with their licence fees as it costs the same to broadcast
to 30 million people as it does to 40 million?
I think they must cut their cloth to suit their pocket!!

Re: Petition by Age UK protesting withdrawal of free TV licences for over 75s

Just an update on this petition which many on OFF signed. The e-mail I just received, as did probably some of you too, was headed as below, with the text as shown:

"New PM gets our TV licence petition

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has got your message loud and clear after we handed in our petition at the door of 10 Downing Street yesterday.

A massive 634,334 of you signed the petition and we now await a response.

As Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has the power and authority to immediately make the decision to keep the free TV licence for all over 75's. We really hope we have done enough to make him listen to us.

We’ve made sure the government can’t ignore us by projecting our campaign message onto the front of Parliament and the Treasury too.

I’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything, so please keep your eye on your inbox.

As ever, thank you for your support,

Rosie
Age UK Campaigns Team"

I don't recall what the number of signatures was as the petition progressed. There was also another petition or maybe even two, adding those together for an overall total would prove interesting.

I will have to see what I can find regarding the above, when I have a few minutes that is!

It's only free to the users. It has to be paid for by tax payers. At the very least it should be means tested. Sorry folks, it's only fair to the people who are paying for these Benefits.
