...or that is how I understand it from the reports in the media.

So is it the EU's deal or no Brexit? The latter seemingly looking more likely by the day especially as the PM selection farce continues squandering the time for negotiation before 31 October.

Not quite.

1. David Cameron told every household by leaflet and verbally in the commons during the Parliamentary vote for the referendum that the government would deliver on the result.

2. The leaflet also said we would leave the customs union and the single market - no mention of a trade deal, in fact the Conservatives (with Mr Obama), Labour, Lib Dems all campaigned on behalf of Project Fear telling us what a disaster it will be ... because we will have no deal.

3. Parliament voted 90% in favour of triggering A50 and to leave the EU with or without a deal

4. Parliament voted 90%+ in favour of the withdrawal act to leave the EU with or without a deal

4. The conservatives were voted in the General Election of 2017 on a mandate that said "no deal is better than a bad deal".

Labour also stood on a mandate of "respecting the decision of the referendum" (look where they are now).

5. May went to Brussels and got a deal. Parliament voted against the deal by a whopping majority 3 times.

6. Now the only option (nobody will reopen the "deal") is to leave with no deal, however Parliament now want to leave "with a deal" but the one they have they don't want - see point 5.

7. Parliament want to leave with a comprehensive free trade deal which is to be made while we are still a member of the EU - even though this is against EU law (weird I know)

8. Parliament do not want to leave with no deal even though the government has spent over £4 billion of public money investing in preparations for a "no deal".

Now Gina Miller says that she will prevent the UK leaving without a deal because that is best for britain (excuse the pun) - read the points above.

Make sense ?

Thats why we are in this mess - its because of Parliament not because of the referendum. The decision is clear - we want to leave and that decision was handed to Parliament to deliver when the results came in. The issue is Parliament is full of remainers (most of them representing leave constituencies) which resulted in Nigel Farage forming the Brexit Party, which quickly become the largest party in the UK and the largest national party in the EU Parliament, even though its only being going for about 4 months.

Back to (Soros funded) Gina Miller - she wants Parliament to be "sovereign". If you read above, it is anything but sovereign because it continues to act on behalf of itself and not on behalf of the people. What we ended up with is our own version of the EU Mafia in our own Houses of Parliament.

We must leave on 31st October 2019 or 5 days later, look what anniversary we will be celebrating ... in a big way !

Get it ?

Re: Looks Like Boris has Won Already!

Hi

Bread it is not illegal to leave with a WTO Free Trade Deal.

We can agree one, sign it and it comes into force the morning after we leave.

Article 50 allows for that.

Such a deal can also be agreed with the 27 Heads of State.

Leaving with a No Deal means a different process.

A FTA under Article 218.

This is a much longer process and involves a vote in each Countries main and regional Parliaments.

The question is do we want a plonker for PM ?

Absoutely not Britain has had some of the finest leaders in history .
Are we now reduced to Boris ?

FTLOG are their no leaders out there ?
Of course there are. Nigel Farage is the best political speaker I have ever heard, yet because he has not (yet) been elected to be an MP, he cannot be our leader directly.

Nevertheless. many people see him as potentially our best PM.

I just think about all the 'wrongs' this country is suffering, which could be put right with a strong and competent PM in charge.

Still, as I have said many times before, the future is in our hands - the voters. We shall have the chance to change completely our parliament of incompetents to a far better option.

Can we do it? Yes we can. Will we do it?

It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. The only thing parliament agrees on is that they won't leave with no deal yet the EU has only one deal which the parliament rejected at least twice.

It has gone beyond the stage of farce, yet this buffoon is likely to be the next British PM entrusted with task of taking Britain successfully out of the EU? Best of luck with that.

Nuclear fusion lab praised by Boris Johnson in Tory conference speech is funded mostly by EU

When the contract extension was announced, its chief executive, Professor Ian Chapman, said: “JET has been a shining example of scientific cooperation between EU members, and this news means that these mutually beneficial collaborations will continue, allowing us to do essential experiments on the path to delivering fusion power.”

Experts also poured scorn on Mr Johnson’s claim that*Culham*was “on the verge” of creating commercially viable fusion reactors. The centre’s own website says that electricity produced by nuclear fusion is still “30-40 years” away.

The government has committed to continuing UK funding for the project after Brexit, but the centre’s future is in doubt because it is overseen by EU atomic agency*Euratom – which the government has said the UK will leave when it leaves the EU.

That would be the 7 times serial loser in parliamentary elections. So not that many people see him as a PM, or even a backbench MP.

More fool them.

Perhaps those people see our present MPs as perfection personified.
