Re: What book are you reading now?

A Thousand Years of Annoying the French by Steven Clarke.

It debunks some `facts` and claims made by the French since The Battle of Hastings in a humorous way.

..... not easy doing messages on my hudl here in Lisbon. But enjoying:

Love Story, With Murders by Harry Bingham.

Good crime fiction with clever/amusing observations & descriptions.

In the first person .... Young, dope smoking detective constable in Cardiff, solving big crime, in a rather unorthodox manner.

Re: What book are you reading now?

Stopped reading Lee Childs books some time ago as they became the same old theme once to often but always wanted to know Jack Reachers background.

synopsis
Jack 'No Middle Name' Reacher, lone wolf, knight errant, ex military cop, lover of women, scourge of the wicked and righter of wrongs, is the most iconic hero for our age.

Read together, these twelve stories shed new light on Reacher’s past, illuminating how he grew up and developed into the wandering avenger who has captured the imagination of millions around the world.

Re-reading this one as she is one of my favourite authors. It's only in the past few weeks my concentration has returned and I can read again.

I'm ploughing through the Hamish MacBeth books again, on a re-read. So much better than the TV Series.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I've just finished another fiction thriller titled, "Lies" by TM Logan.

Story of a husband and son who spotted the wife ahead on the highway and wanted to catch up with her. Where she went and what follows begins the lies that wreck the marriage. Nice twists to it, and never saw the ending coming.
