Genesis

First time I have listened to this, apparently, it missed out on being on Wind and Wuthering.

Re: Genesis

Always been a Genesis fan myself.

What do you think of this re-imagined masterpiece? Look out for Steve Hackett's guitar solo near the end.

Re: Genesis

So far, I think great musicians can copy, but, can't create, magical even though.

Re: Genesis

I love all of Genesis' recordings right from the early days of the peter Gabriel progressive era to the Phil Collins-led slightly more commercial stuff.
My favourite album is Duke from 1980, but I think the live album "Three Sides Live" shows the band at their finest.

Simple but sweet. Loved it. Yes it was from Wind and Wuthering

I’m a Genesis snob. Have listened to them since early ‘70’s , saw them in concert many times and I was NOT expecting to be sooo impressed. I mean recreating Genesis is tough enough but to take on a classic, legendary hit like “Suppers Ready” I thought there’s no way anyone can pull this off but they did with flying colours?

The solo at the end by Steve Hackett? OMG! Spectacular. Just amazing. He took the ending of that song to places it’s never been before and did it brilliantly. They’d get a standing O from me. Thanks for the link. That was most enjoyable.

Re: Genesis

Hi Ya Bratti, Inside and out was not on Wind and Wuthering, it nearly was, but was deselected, W&W was the transitional album, the pinnacle Imo.
