Humans have a right to be arrogant, no other creature comes close to us in the pecking order.

How many more animal species would be extinct but for the fact we care and tend them prior to slaughtering and eating them???

Who are humans to say an animal should "exist" or not exist?
But we do. They exist because we breed them and sell them.
Why would a farmer have a bull? Or rams? Why grow crops to feed them?

So no, they wouldn't exist if they weren't part of the commercial enterprise that farming is. That's not arrogant - just facts.

I suspect many farmers wouldn't see it that way.

I wasnt referring to the fact that we "breed" them ,im saying animals exist without us "allowing " them to be here in the first place....if we (humans) didnt exist the animals would still survive and live....

I was responding to you comment:

That's just plain wrong. The fluffy little white lambs you see joyfully hopping around on the hillside in spring aren't there for the pleasure of the tourists. Quite simply, they wouldn't be there if they were not a commercial proposition for the farmer.

The topic is about slaughter free meat. You can't ignore breeding on this subject. Virtually all the animals we slaughter for their meat have been bred for that purpose.

How often have you seen giraffe steak on offer?
