Yes, it's not all about looking pretty, there should be risk assessment to consider too.

Re: My dream kitchen

I love the old fashion type, wooden fronted refrigerators, but with brand new working parts. There are manufacturers who make them from scratch. They only look old, but are, in fact totally new.

Re: My dream kitchen

Out of interest hich type of cooker/oven do you prefer - Gas- electric ring or induction. I know nowt about them but Sue says the induction top on our range is so much faster and any spills on the top don't even get hot.

we had to change from the ring type because the previous owner didn't look after it. Thick grease in the oven- grill had ceased working and in a general poor state. I thought it was getting dangerous to use so bought this induction one instead with new pots and pans

Re: My dream kitchen

My kitchen is small but functional. I would love a large kitchen with an island . I'd like somewhere to hang my pans and I'd love a creel. I love old farmhouse type kitchens

I much prefer cooking with gas. Instant heat and I can see exactly what the temp is . I dislike the electric GLASS TOP ones because they easily scratch. Especially so when I need to use a cast iron pot/pan.

A creel is a contraption that was used in old fashioned kitchens that worked on a pulley . They used to dry their clothes on it usually above an open fire
