Tess, is it a bit like Gimp where instead of saving pictures by clicking on 'save' or 'save as', you have to 'export' instead. You can then export in whichever file type you want. Does it have an 'Export' option under 'File"?

Dunno Dongle, I'll have to set it up again and have another look, I'll just re-arrange the furniture to make room

I don't understand why your computer won't accept a printer in the first place?????

Maybe it has a parallel port only? you might just find a parallel port printer on on the internet.

Our old computer at the kennels had parallel ports and needed a compatible printer.

alternative idea is to get your computer to accept a series port if that is possible . It all depends on you computer.
