Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 1)

Was pouring down here too earlier, but has stopped now. I would have used the same word as you Doc but predictive text on my tablet wouldn't let me! Keep Celyn in your thoughts folks , Michael is in hospital and she now has to take one of the dogs to the vet.

I have the little boys here today and we've already made a cake - and played shops. Think it's going to be a long day!

Heavy showers here. warm in the sunshine here at present but still a lot of black clouds hovering.

I've sent Celyn a message on Facebook---she's in my thoughts

Just made a peach upside down cake---smeling and looking good, hope it tastes the same as my neighbour has gone home with two pieces

Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 1)

Deep joy. The bridge over the brook (between here and the village) is, after three months and a complete rebuild, open at last. We've put up the flags and the boys had a happy (and filthy) hour paddling in the brook. Picked up loads of rubbish that the workmen had left behind and just got home before a,really heavy shower.

Enjoy your meal tonight Jac, is Grandma paying?

Good morning all from a damp and at present dismal Carmarthenshire. Anyone any news from Celyn?? hope things are improving a bit.

Good news about the bridge Sue, must make life easier.

A wait and see what the weather does for me today, have to go and pick up meds and hopefully do a bit of shrub chopping back

Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 1)

Looks pretty soggy here too Rowser. I think I've mentioned that my car went on its holidays to West Wales with David and Rhian - drove his (ancient) VW truck down to the village and back last night and what an experience that was! No power steering and stiff gear change - I can quite see why he didn't want to drive to St. David's in that! Hopefully my car should be back some time today..................
